About me
Hello! I’m Rue Isik, a Philadelphia-based Turkish illustrator, sculptor, and designer. My work blends fine line detail, organic forms, hidden patterns, and expressive color palettes to create imagery that feels playful, emotional, and story-driven. Inspired by nature, conversation, movement, and everyday curiosities, I work across both traditional and digital mediums with a style that is flexible while still maintaining a strong visual identity.
Alongside illustration, I also create tattoo designs, logos, concept work, sculptural pieces, and visual storytelling projects. I love adapting my style to different ideas and collaborating closely with people to create artwork that feels personal, memorable, and alive.
I earned my Illustration degree with a Sculpture minor through the University of the Arts and graduated from Moore College of Art and Design. My background in children’s books, printmaking, sculpture, and character design has helped shape the detailed and expressive approach I bring into all of my work today.
Outside the studio, I’m usually playing volleyball — I’m a setter, which reflects a lot in the collaborative and intuitive way I approach art and design. I’m always searching for ways to create connection, curiosity, and personality through making art in different forms.
